Birthstone Flower Necklace - May / Emerald

Emerald, the birthstone for May, was one of Cleopatra’s favourite gemstones. The Ancient Egyptians thought this stone was a charm of rebirth and fertility.

It was believed that the emerald gives the wearer the ability to predict the future. It is also associated with growth, health, wealth and faithfulness.

The birthstone flower necklace is inspired by the forget me not flower, which symbolises remembrance, good memories and true love.

Emerald Care and Cleaning

The best way to clean emerald jewellery is using lukewarm, soapy water or a warm soapy cloth. Gently scrub it with a soft toothbrush, then rinse with lukewarm water.

Avoid using commercial jewellery cleaner, silver dip or any harsh detergents that might weaken or remove oils from the stone.

To remove tarnishing from silver, use a silver cloth.
